APPEARANCE: tba

FASHION: tba

DEMEANOUR: tba

LANGUAGES: Russian is her first language, then English, and learning Czech and Spanish

OLFACTORY: As a vampire, if your character can detect that scent then they are welcome to do so. Otherwise, she smells like whatever she's recently used to clean with. She does tend to bathe regularly, so nothing extraordinary here.

TOUCHING: tba

VIOLENCE: tba

RELATIONSHIPS: tba

TELEPATHY: Okay with me, just please discuss first so we can plan it.

POWERS: Vampire permissions found below.

TRIGGERS: Used to a number of traumatic things, Zoey is not easily triggered by disturbing content. She does have some emotional issues with connecting to people, but this isn't something she discusses openly, either.
OOC Info
BACKTAGGING: go for it!

THREADJACKING: not a problem!

FOURTHWALLING: hard to do as she's an OC, but fourth-walling discussion is fine

TRIGGERS: not a one!
Vampire Powers
Zoey is a vampire. The abilities associated with this are as follows:
  • She does not age, and is not affected by human illnesses or poisons.
  • She is physically stronger, faster and more agile than the average human. She can cross a room in the blink of an eye, and lift a small car with one hand.
  • Her body has proportionate durability to her strength, meaning that it is more difficult to injure her as her skin and bones are harder to break.
  • She heals more quickly than humans. More severe injuries take longer to heal; burns take longest of all. Very severe injuries will require her to feed as soon as possible.
  • Enhanced senses: she can see in the dark, though is sensitive to light. She can detect the scent of her prey and hear well enough to pick out a beating heart in another room.
  • She also has a number of weaknesses, which are detailed in her application. Most importantly, her body has a strong reaction to magic. It burns her flesh on contact, and is toxic if she drinks it. This is specific to natural, Fae, and religious magic (the latter being because sacred things hurt her anyway). Demonic magic would have a different effect; rather than burning her, it would feel pleasant, and the blood of a demon would be addictive to her. This is because of the way vampires were created in her world. Zoey is highly familiar with demons and their effect on vampires.
Additionally, Zoey's blood has properties which human blood does not. These are as follows:
  • PROCREATION: She can create other vampires. This involves a complete exchange of blood, i.e. she must drain the human completely, and then feed her own blood supply to them.
  • HEALING: In small doses, her blood will heal humans without turning them. It can be locally applied to a wound to heal it, or ingested for internal injuries. It cannot be used to heal human sickness, or poisonings, but does work to both speed up natural healing, and kill pain.
  • ADDICTION: Healing comes at a cost; Zoey's blood is highly addictive, comparable to morphine or heroin. Small amounts in frequent doses will cause addiction. Its healing and painkilling properties come with a sense of euphoria, and it will induce a thirst that makes humans crave more. Addiction can be treated by ingesting garlic.
  • ENTHRALLING: Drinking large amounts of Zoey's blood causes an even bigger problem, as addiction gives way to enthralling. A person's sense of self begins to erode, and they become more docile and obedient to the vampire they're drinking from. Eventually they will be entirely obedient to and dependent on the vampire. How long this takes depends on a person's strength of will. In Zhautas, this ability will only be used on your character with your OOC consent. Please hit me up if you'd like to plot anything relating to this!
Due to all of this, I would be very grateful if you could fill in the below Permissions to let me know whether Zoey's powers can affect your character. The abilities relating to her senses are passive - she will always have enhanced hearing and smell - but those associated with her blood are active, meaning that she must choose whether or not to use them.

Character name(s): Jonathan Reid, The Archivist/Jonathan Sims
Player contact: Terri | [plurk.com profile] switalia

Passive Powers

1. Can Zoey's enhanced senses detect your character? Yes.
2. If so, is there any particular scent she would detect from your character?
Reid: Blood, antiseptic, soap
The Archivist: Ink, paper, and menthol cigarettes.
3. Is there anything unusual she should notice about your character's heartbeat?
Reid: Jonathan doesn't not have a heartbeat as he is dead.
The Archivist: Nothing unusual about his heartbeat, but as a vampire, she'll likely be able to detect that he has blood magic worked over him that denotes he is under the protection of another vampire. This will be particularly strong if she touches him.
4. Does your character use magic? If so, is their magic (a) demonic, (b) fae/seelie, (c) natural/nature-based, (d) religious or (e) other? If it's (e), how would you define their magic?
Reid: Shadow and blood-based vampire magic.
The Archivist: He's the avatar of an evil eldritch abomination that is outside this plane of existence and presses at this world through him. I guess the closest would be a combination of demonic and religious magic?

Active Powers

5. Can Zoey turn your character into a vampire? No.
6. Can Zoey use her blood to heal your character? Yes.
7. Would your character drink from Zoey often enough to become addicted? How susceptible to this are they? Highly unlikely without something affecting them.
8. Would your character become enthralled? No.
